Right now, they have cash in the bank, good clients, a clear road map to where they want to get to and what they need to do to achieve it.
There are no fires to put out and you will have a full handover from the Head of Finance who would like to reduce their hours / retire once this position has been filled and you are settled into the role.
Currently on track to be a £30M turnover business, they are in the process of increasing their infrastructure to bring this up to around £40M.
The clients they have, they have been working with for years and they have scope to increase the contracts when they are in a position to scale up production, so this role will be more about facilitating the growth of the company and putting them in the best possible situation when the time comes.
In terms of the wider team, you will be in safe hands… You will have a full handover and support from the Head of Finance who has been with the company since it was created.
They have a well run, well managed and very knowledgeable finance team that will support you and take care of all the transactional parts of the business. … The person you will be managing has been with for the company for years and keeps things running like clockwork.
Your role will be working with the MD and other Directors, working at a strategic level and helping the business scale in the right way.
Sounds easy right? … But of course at this level, nothing is ever easy. … There will be plenty of challenges along the way, lots of scope for you to shape your role and department and a new system to get bedded in but you’ll have full backing from the MD and other Directors and you’ll work as a team.
This role is ideal for someone who has worked at this level before in a similar sized business. We don’t have to be sector specific but someone who has worked within Manufacturing will probably feel more at home here.
