The company we are recruiting for is probably one of the largest Independent firms of Accountants in this area and this role has been created as the current Tax Partner is looking to step back and hand over their role. … There are three CTA’s in the business so there will be a gentle handover and all the support you need to settle in.
As this is a such a senior and specialised role, we are almost in blank cheque territory here and both salaried Partner and equity Partner options are on the table and up for discussion.
From the start, you will have free reign to shape their tax services and pricing. … They already have a good client base and you will work with a range of businesses up to around £100M t/o.
Leaning more towards a Corporate Tax position, they have a team that covers the compliance and advisory work and you will get to work with the existing clients to discuss potential tax planning solutions and lead the projects.
They suspect that the bulk of the role will comprise of the following…
- Marketing, networking, and selling the full range of the firm’s services
- Managing existing client relationships and working with the team to spot and lead tax projects
- Managing and shaping the Tax Department to meet the needs of the business
- Advising on corporate restructures, share reorganisations, business acquisitions and succession planning for OMB’s
- Having an active role in Partners meetings with a voice to shape the company
