These are the types of roles we love to recruit for … When a company has been advised by their firm of accountants that it’s time to bring in someone senior into the accounts department.
This is a newly created position where you’ll be working closely with the Managing Director.
Essentially, the role is very much a blank canvas…The MD knows what needs to be done but doesn’t quite know the ins and outs of an accounts department.
We don’t have a job specification for the role; You really will have the autonomy to make this role your own.
Currently, there is a part-time Accounts Assistant who you’ll be overseeing. This person covers most of the transactional level stuff, and they currently have a lot of support from their firm of accountants.
The business is currently at a £6 million turnover; however, they will be merging with another company, which very much compliments what they do.
What they need is someone who has the experience to lead the department whilst supporting the MD with growing the business.
